Mild conditions expected once again

WSIL(Carterville, Ill.)-- This morning, we are seeing chilly temperatures once again areawide. Temperatures today are in the lower 40s across most of southern Illinois, and the mid to upper 40s further south. Dew points are also in the lower 40s, so it certainly is feeling quite crisp. 

Today, you can expect to see ample sunshine with temperatures that will warm into the mid 60s by the midday hours and highs that will be in the lower 70s areawide. Humidity levels will remain very mild with dew points lingering in the lower 40s and upper 30s. Winds will also be mostly calm, with wind gusts expected to be out of the north at 3 to 5 miles per hour. 

Overnight tonight, you can expect to see clear skies with temperatures that will cool to the lower 40s for tomorrow morning. Sunny skies are expected once again for the entire day tomorrow. Highs should be a little warmer during the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 70s areawide. 

Gradually, we will see temperatures warm back to the upper 70s and lower 80s as we approach Friday and the weekend. However, we will see another cold front move through late this weekend, and this will drop temperatures significantly for Sunday and early next week. 

Despite another cold front, we will see mostly sunny conditions this week, as well as mostly dry conditions.
