19-year-old faces several felony charges after allegedly trying to break in and shoot home

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- One person is in custody in relation to a shooting incident which happened in early November.

Cape Girardeau Police Department said officers first responded to the 900-block of Hackberry Street for a shots fired call back on November 1.

When officers got there, they found out a someone allegedly tried to force entry in a home and fired a gun at the door. The suspect then ran away from the area before officers arrived.

Cape Girardeau police said they identified the suspect as Bryan Depree, 19 of Cape Girardeau.

Roughly four weeks later on November 28, Depree was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault in the first degree, three counts of armed criminal action, assault in the first degree and unlawful use of a weapon.

He is in jail with a $100,000 bond.
