53-year-old arrested after vehicle hits pedestrian causing serious injuries

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- A woman was arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle over the weekend in Butler County.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the incident happened on December 10, at 9:28 p.m. along County Road 450 west of Poplar Bluff.

Kimberly Trice, 53 of Poplar Bluff, was driving a 2017 GMC Canyon when MSHP said the vehicle hit a pedestrian in the roadway. This caused the pedestrian to hit a 2009 Dodge Charger as well.

The pedestrian was identified as Jeremy Lynn, 37 of Poplar Bluff. Lynn was air lifted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

According to an arrest report with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kimberly Trice was arrested at 9:59 p.m., roughly 30 minutes after the incident happened. Trice faces a driving while intoxicated charge.

Both vehicles involved in the crash incident had minor damage.
