IRON COUNTY, Mo. -- UPDATE: January 27, 9:05 a.m. - A 58-year-old man was arrested in relation to a homicide investigation in Iron County.
Iron County Coroner Tim Harbison stated the Mineral Area Major Case Squad requested an arrest warrant for David Wayne Sharp, 58 of Middlebrooke, Missouri.
David Sharp was later taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and stealing a motor vehicle.
Harbison said David Sharp was taken into custody at a motel in Louisville, Kentucky. He also stated the victim was Derl Sharp, who is the brother of David.
The aforementioned truck was also recovered.
ORIGINAL: January 26, 10:39 a.m. - Authorities are looking for help in finding a person of interest connected to a truck that was believed to be related to a homicide investigation.
Iron County Coroner Tim Harbison stated deputies with the Iron County Sheriff's Office went to a home in the 60 block of Wild Turkey Road in the Middlebrook area for a deceased person on January 25.
Harbison said the deceased man was a 65-year-old and was a victim of an apparent homicide.
Authorities also are looking for a vehicle of interest in relation to the homicide investigation.
They are looking for a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a Missouri license plate number 0PD-Y90. It's a gray and black, two-toned truck with a red pin stripe with duct tape on the right rear window.
The Mineral Area Major Case Squad was activated to investigate the homicide.
