Former Scott City firefighter recognized for rescuing two victims from fire

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (WSIL) -- During the Governor Mike Kehoe's inauguration, a former Scott City firefighter was recognized for his part in rescuing two victims from a home on fire from last year.

The St. Charles Fire Department shared photos of the Salute to Hero's ceremony where Private Kevin Drury was recognized.

Drury leaped into action and helped rescue two victims from a fire on January 24, 2024.

The St. Charles Fire Department thanked Drury for his continued service.

The Scott City Fire Department also said it was a job well done for Drury and said they are blessed to have dedicated volunteers on their department.
