One dead after crash in Perry County, Mo.

MCBRIDE, Mo. -- One person is dead after a crash in Perry County, Mo. Monday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Troop C, Robert Seibel, 24, of Ste. Genevieve, died as a result of the two-vehicle crash along Highway 51.

The crash happened just south of McBride near Perry County Road 210 Monday morning at 5:55 a.m.

Authorities were on scene investigating the crash after the incident happened.

MSHP said Seibel was traveling north in a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt on Highway 51 when he cross the center line and hit a 2015 Ford Transit van, police say in an online report.

Seibel was pronounced dead on scene at 6:52 a.m. by the Perry County Coroner.
