Two dead, one injured after three-vehicle crash

MILLERSVILLE, Mo. (WSIL) -- Two people are dead and another injured after a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened 2:28 p.m. on October 16, along Highway 72 in Millersville.

MSHP stated Charles Davis, 84 of Jackson, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, going south on Highway 72, when the vehicle crossed the center line and hit a 2021 Jeep Summit head on and then hit a 2019 Toyota Tundra.

A passenger in the Chevrolet Equinox was identified as Shelba Davis, 87 of Jackson. Both Charles Davis and Shelba Davis were taken to the Saint Francis Medical Center where they were later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Jeep Summit was a 43-year-old from Sedgewickville who was reported to have sustained moderate injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Tundra was a 60-year-old from Marquand. There was no report of an injury for the driver of the Tundra.

The MSHP stated this was the 51st and 52nd death related to a crash in the southeast Missouri area for 2024.
