HARRISBURG (WSIL) -- Organizations, Schools, Churches, Libraries and private businesses are all finding ways to support the Tennessee recovery efforts.

In Harrisburg, Southern Outlaws Bar and Grill put out a call to action Tuesday and the supplies are already coming in.

The restaurant is one of several drop off spots for needed items and local leaders say they plan to open more.

Co-owner Derek Downs said, pet supplies are also important and many times overlooked.

"Of course you've got the babies, the elderly that need the help as well, but many times the animals are overlooked in this as well," said Downs. "I do believe that Harrisburg can be a very helpful community as well, and just by helping a local is not the only way but reach out to other communities as well."

The owners say they will drive the supplies to the affected areas early next week.

If you would like to help, you can drop off items at the restaurant during business hours.

They are collecting:

  • Bottled water
  • Bleach
  • Tooth paste
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Body wash
  • Tooth brushes
  • Baby items
  • Household cleaners
  • Paper towels
  • Batteries
  • Canned good
  • Non perishable food items

  • Gift cards (stores in Nashville area)
  • Gloves
  • Pet foods.
