Illinois State Police have identified a body found last month near Trenton in Clinton County.
Police say the body of Charity M. Greene, 46, of Harlan County, Kentucky, was discovered Aug. 28 along the Route 160 on-ramp to U.S. Route 50 near Trenton.
Illinois State Police continue to investigate and are seeking information about Greene's whereabouts prior to Aug. 28.

CLINTON COUNTY (WSIL) -- A decomposed female body was found in the ditch of the Illinois Route 160 on-ramp to New U.S. Route 50 westbound near Trenton, Illinois.
On Friday, August 28, Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 8 officials were requested by the Trenton Police Department to investigate. An autopsy was completed on Saturday, August 29, but results are still pending.
Description:
White female, approximately 5'6" and weighing approximately 127 pounds. The female was wearing jean shorts with an American Indian style pattern and a t-shirt described as a Good Luck Unlimited Trolls T-Shirt like the picture attached to this story.
Identifying tattoos include:
- The word “Charity� tattooed in fancy script on the right forearm
- A multi-colored mermaid-like figure tattooed on the upper left arm
- A tattoo depicting a flower with a bumblebee and the word “Charity� in fancy script on the left forearm
- The word “Dallas� tattooed in fancy script on the lower-middle back
