...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and near Murphysboro

.Moderate flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At
Plumfield, the river is currently cresting near 28.1 feet. At
Murphysboro, the river has crested and started a very slow fall.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- The cats have outnumbered the dogs in this edition of Pets of the Week.

Oliver is a beautiful-eyed kitten who loves kids, attention, and to be held. He would make an excellent lap cat at just 7-months-old. If he's the cat for you, contact Perry County Humane Society in Du Quoin.

Tails is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair who is the perfect package. This sweet boy loves other cats, dogs, kids, and nothing is too much for him. He also likes to cuddle with friends and enjoys playing. He is already neutered, so he is ready to be adopted from the Humane Society of 九游体育 Illinois in Murphysboro.

Piper is a beauty who wants to be your best friend. She is a year old and gets along with other cats. Get to know Piper at Wayne County Humane Society in Fairfield.

Baby is a grey female kitten who is about 11-weeks-old. She is playful, friendly, and loves to cuddle. Her adoption fee was waived, and her spay will be completed by the owner when she reaches the appropriate age. She has all of her vaccinations and will soon be ready to leave Herrin Animal Control. The cost of her microchip is $20.

Odin is a beautiful 7-month-old Pit-mix who has no problem representing the dogs. He is sweet, playful, and a bit energetic. If you would like to adopt Odin, contact Union County Animal Control in Cobden.
