Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Franklin and Williamson
Counties.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 28.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Thursday was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.0
feet just after midnight tonight.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

No one hurt after early morning fire

(WSIL) -- No one was hurt after a fire at a home in Murphysboro.

Murphysboro Fire Chief Steve McBride says crews were called out to a home near Mulberry and 8th Street around 2:30 am Monday. 

When crews arrived the fire was in the back of the home.

McBride says the home is a total loss.
