week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, one of America’s largest closeout retailers, officially opened its doors in Carbondale today—bringing tons of merchandise at low prices.

Ollie's held a ribbon-cutting at 8:45 a.m. and welcomed eager shoppers—who came ready to fill their carts. The store, now located in the former Big Lots building at 1150 E. Main Street, is already seeing activity as customers come in for deals on everything from groceries to home goods.

“This area needed something to liven it up,� said Store Team Lead Manager Christopher Chaney. “We've been missing something since we lost the other store that was here previously. This is a place where people can shop and enjoy good prices�.

The store offers up to 70% off retail prices on name-brand food, flooring, books, bedding, pet supplies, toys, electronics, and more. 

With several recent business closures in the area, Ollie’s is filling a vital gap for budget-conscious families.

As part of the grand opening, Ollie’s is encouraging new customers to join their in-store rewards program, which is free to sign up. Members earn one point for every dollar spent. After reaching 250 points, they earn discounts and move up through the ranks for even more savings.
