CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) One person faces multiple charges after police respond to a shots fired report in Carbondale on Wednesday.

The Carbondale Police Department said officers responded to South Cedarview on May 21, at 6:35 a.m. for a shots fired report.

Police said a personal dispute between two people led to several shots fired into a parked vehicle by a 25-year-old suspect, identified as David Ward.

Officers said they recovered a gun after investigating the incident.

Ward was arrested and cited for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Restraint and Domestic Battery charges. He was then taken to the Jackson County Jail.
