POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- One person was flown to a hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a lawnmower in southeast Missouri on Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 11:05 p.m. on May 3, along Highway T, roughly seven miles north of Poplar Bluff.

State police said a 45-year-old man from Dexter was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo when it hit the rear of a Craftsman Lawnmower, operated by a 46-year-old man from St. Louis. The lawnmower then ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

The operator of the lawnmower was then taken to the Poplar Bluff Medical Center for treatment of serious injures, according to a crash report.
