Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 14.0 feet Friday,
April 25.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Organizers sell ribs ahead of the Superbowl to raise money for charity

MARION, Ill. (WSIL)—The Community of Faith's BBQ Heroes Cooking Team will sell slabs of ribs to raise money for the Hands of Hope Foundation. 

On Friday, February 7th, and Saturday, February 8th, the organization will be outside of the Sam's Club in Marion from 10 a.m. to close, or until supplies last. 

The team will offer hot and ready or pre-cooked and ready-to-reheat ribs. Ribs will be $25 a slab or $23 if you buy two or more. 

Organizers say you can also set up a pick-up order with the team. To place an order, contact Pastor Troy Benitone at 217-725-7565 or email them at [email protected].

All proceeds collected will go toward supporting mission-outreach work for the Hands of Hope Foundation and mission out-reach with 

This is the team's 12th year hosting the event. Organizers say in all those years, they have sold anywhere from 600 to 800 slabs during Super Bowl weekend.
