MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced districtwide roadway traffic paint striping will begin this week.
The project aims to refresh pavement markings and improve road safety.
Starting Wednesday, May 14, work will commence in McCracken and Graves counties.
The project will continue in Ballard County the following week.
KYTC officials say, weather permitting, mobile paint caravans will be on the roadways during the daytime.Â
The work will focus mainly on rural secondary roads, with some striping on I-69 in Graves and Marshall counties.
Officials say there will be no flaggers or lane closures.Â
Motorists are advised to use caution and avoid driving over wet paint.
KYTC says the project will happen in several counties in District 1 roads for several months.
