...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Areas of southern Illinois along and south of Highway 13
and all of western Kentucky.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will develop across
southern Illinois and western Kentucky. Areas that see
thunderstorms could receive 1.5 to 3.0 inches of rain in just
one or two hours, with locally higher amounts up to 4 inches
possible.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Pentagon leak leads to limits on who gets access to military's top secrets

The Pentagon has begun to limit who across the government receives its highly classified daily intelligence briefs following a major leak of classified information discovered last week.

(WSIL) -- A federal grand jury indicted Jack Teixeira on six counts of willful retention and transmission of national defense information.

Teixeira is the Air National Guardsman accused of leaking top government documents online. The documents were posted on Discord, a chat group.

At the time Teixeira was with the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

The indictment says he had top-secret security clearance and was trained in how to handle classified materials.
