CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- There are five animals up for adoption in this edition of Pets of the Week.

Gray is a beautiful 1 1/2 to a 2-year-old gray cat with a white patch on her chest, white paws, and beautiful eyes.

She is a little shy but would be a great addition to your family. You can find her at Little Paws Rescue in Mt Vernon.

The next cat on the list is Brian. He was rescued along with four other cats and a bunny from a hoarding situation. He is a sweet boy and will need to be a barn cat since he doesn't know how to use the cat box from living in a cage his whole life. Brian is now neutered and looking for a forever home. You can learn more about him at Little Paws Rescue in Mt Vernon.

Tux is a 2-to-3-month-old Pitbull Puppy who is heartworm negative. He is very energetic loves to play and doesn't mind cats or other dogs. Tux is available at Herrin Animal Control.

Phoenix is one of 10 dogs that was found dumped in a field. He is about 12 to 14 pounds and is estimated to be around a year old. Phoenix is shy but warms up quickly and is ready for a home of his own to be loved in.

His adoption fee is $300 but if you are interested, you must complete an application at Paws Adoption Center in Anna to meet him. Meet and greets will only be granted with an approved application.

The last dog on the list doesn't have a name but has been given the ID-13. He is a very photogenic Pit-mix estimated to be around 2-years-old. To learn more about him contact Jefferson County Animal Shelter in Mt. Vernon.
