MARION, Ill., (WSIL) -- Officials with Veterans Affairs are ramping up security on online options for clients. The changes will be across all online platforms and apps including My HealtheVet, and the VA: Health and Benefits mobile app. VA officials say veteran's security is a top priority and part of their commitment to service.

As part of this improved security, the VA is transitioning to two highly secure sign-in options. Due to these updates, veterans who use MyHeatheVet or DS Logon to access their information, will need to create a new account with or ID.me account. You can find step-by-step instructions or register for an account directly by clicking .  VA officials want to reassure veterans that these are secure ways to access your account, as well as a way to ensure that only you are accessing your account.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact support services at the above websites. If you would like direct attention from your local VA, you can contact the My HeatheVet Coordinator at the Marion VA Health Care System at: 618-364-2423.
