DEXTER, Mo. (WSIL) Heavy rain hit much of the region on Saturday, bringing with it flash flooding which impacted low lying areas and roads.
One of the many areas which saw a lot of rain was Dexter, Missouri.
One particular business saw flash flooding in their parking lot which caused their customers to walk through knee-deep water to get to their vehicles.
The manager of the Dexter Billiards, Luanne Free, says water was as deep as 20 from the road up to their business.
Vehicles were still parked in the parking lot when the flash flooding hit, causing customers to either wait until the water dropped, or walk through the water to get to their vehicles.
Stoddard County officials also kept the public updated with water impacting certain areas. The Stoddard County Emergency Management Agency listed many roads which had water flowing over them in their area.
Other areas and southeast Missouri and western Kentucky saw more of the same as flash flooding impacted roads throughout the bottom half of the WSIL’s coverage area.
