(WSIL) - The American Red Cross says it's in serious need of blood donors.
Officials say there's an ongoing critical need for blood and platelets to keep the blood supply stable as fall begins. They say especially those with type O blood, those giving platelets and those who have never given before, are needed now.
Red Cross officials say only 3 out of 100 Americans donate blood.
Make an appointment to give now by visitingÌý, calling 1-800-REDÌýCROSSÌýor by using theÌýRedÌýCrossÌýBlood Donor App.ÌýIn thanks, those who come to give by Sept. 30 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of choice.
