CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- It was cool and cloudy Friday afternoon, but it has been a much needed break from the active weather. The quiet and chilly conditions will stick around into Saturday morning with lows dipping into the 50s.Â
The weekend will be beautiful. Abundant sunshine is expected Saturday with high temperatures topping out in the mid 70s. Sunday will also be great for any outdoor Mother's Day plans, with temperatures near 80 degrees.Â
Enjoy the calm conditions. By next Monday and Tuesday rain and storms move back into the region. At this time it does not look severe, but it will be a soggy start to the week.Â
