...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and near Murphysboro

.Moderate flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At
Plumfield, the river is currently cresting near 28.1 feet. At
Murphysboro, the river has crested and started a very slow fall.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Sergeant and officer assaulted at Northern Illinois correctional facility

PONTIAC, IL. (WSIL) -- A correctional sergeant and correctional officer were assaulted by someone in custody on Wednesday at the Pontiac Correctional Center.

ABC affiliate WICS reports that person assaulted them with a homemade weapon.

The correctional sergeant was taken to an area hospital.

The facility was placed on lockdown. Authorities are investigating the situation.
