WSIL(Carterville, Ill.)--This morning, most of us are waking up to temperatures in the lower 70s and upper 60s. We are seeing a few isolated showers and storms across south eastern Missouri. These showers are slowly tracking off towards the north and east. These showers and storms are not severe.

As we go through the rest of the morning hours, we will continue to see at least an isolated chance for showers and storms. There will be a little bit of dry time through late morning and early afternoon.

Late this afternoon, however, we will see a weak cold front from northwest to southeast and this should provide enough forcing to generate a few more scattered showers and storms. Once again, nothing is expected to be strong to severe.

Once the cold front passes, we will see ample sunshine for tomorrow and Friday.

Highs today will be in the low 80s, and the low to mid 80s are expected for Thursday and Friday.Â
