
CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- The sunshine and above average temperatures made for a nice Thursday. The quiet and warm conditions will stick around overnight. Changes arrive tomorrow.
A cold front will work its way into the region Friday. Most of the morning should be dry, but rain and storms will move in by the afternoon. Off and on rain with a few rumbles of thunder will be possible through the late evening hours. No severe weather is expected but rain could impact Friday night football plans.Â
Ahead of the front it will be warm and breezy. High temperatures will still climb into the upper 70s, with winds out of the south gusting near 25 mph. Enjoy the above average temperatures, cooler air settles in for the weekend.
Both Saturday and Sunday will bring cloudy, chilly and breezy conditions. Highs will dip back below average, near 60 degrees. It'll be a good weekend to stay inside and cuddle up on the couch.Â
