WSIL (Carterville) -- Make sure to grab a light raincoat as you're headed out the door. Temperatures are very warm in the low 60s out ahead of the cold front. Isolated to scattered showers will continue through the morning before clearing out just in time for this evening.

weekend

Quiet conditions make a brief return just in time for this weekend. Should be a perfect start to firearm deer hunting season. Highs drops into the 60s and skies stay fairly clear thanks to a high pressure.

We'll need to be weather aware as we head into next week. A better chance for some much needed rain returns and sticks around off & on for 48 hours.

If you're planning on traveling for Thanksgiving, you'll need to keep a close eye on things.

cold

The other big change you'll notice as we head into the next work week are the temperatures. We'll see highs fall into the 50s and 40s just in time for the holiday.
