MURRAY, Ky. (WSIL) -- Murray State University is still dealing with power outages on campus after a lightning strike hit during the weekend storms.
The university said classes were cancelled for Monday, February 17, for both in person and online. Campus operations did resume on Monday however, such as dining at Winslow Dining Hall and at Chick-fil-A, along with the Curris Center and Waterfield Library operations.
Electric was restored to many buildings on Sunday afternoon after the lightning left all campus buildings in the dark on Saturday. The buildings still without power are the CFSB Center, Wellness Center, RH White and Regents Halls, the university stated on Monday.
The university also told the public there may be buildings experiencing cooler temperatures as well.
Contractors and crews continue to work to resolve any electrical issues at the university.
