MARION (WSIL) -- The ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois Community Foundation is offering mini-grant opportunities through the .
The Illinois Department of Human Services launched the initiative in October to aid in racial healing.
The Community Foundation received $98,000 dollars to give to local organizations throughout ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois.
"For a non-profit to be eligible for the grant that we have at the ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois Community Foundation, you need to create a project or an activity that promotes racial healing," says Reba Ourun, Program Associate with the Community Foundation.
Ourun says the foundation will provide funds of $500 or more to various organizations.
Those groups must provide projects on issues like promoting dialogue, encouraging collaboration, facilitating learning and seeding connections.
