John A. Logan College hosted The Poshard Foundation Toy Distribution. Founder of the event, Glenn Poshard, shares the dream behind this event.
"We said what is the big issue people kept bring up to us when we were travelling around Illinois, abused children," said Poshard. "So we said, we need to form a foundation to help abused, neglected and abandoned children."Â
Several organizations partnered with the Poshard Foundation to help make this event possible. Tri-State Office Equipment, John A. Logan, and Ameren are a few of the those organizations. Each one of them explain how they feel about the result of the event.
Richard Clark, former owner of Tri-State Business Equipment said, "We are not just giving this to kids that could be on several lists, were giving it to kids who won't have a Christmas."
President of John A. Logan College Kirk Overstreet said, "Being out here today and seeing all these people here and what we can do, it's just fantastic."
Ameren official Jennifer Lee said, "It's really makes me feel good that there is so many people out there that feel that this is their calling, that this is their life's work is to work with children."
