Kid and rookie card

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A 11-year-old had an extra special birthday after he found an autographed Caitlin Clark rookie card worth a lot of money.

John A. Logan College posted photos of the kid with his new Caitlin Clark signed rookie card after attending the JALC's Sports Card & Collectibles Show organized by JALC Logan Fitness.

The young sports fan, Reid Endres, is from Murphysboro, Illinois, and was eager to spend his birthday money, the college stated in a social media post. After baseball practice, Reid, his mom Erika and his dad Cory attended the sports card event.

The college said Reid then spotted a WNBA card box and then purchased it. Moments later, he opened the box and found the Caitlin Clark autographed rookie card and it was numbered 10 out of 10.

Just last week, an autographed Caitlin Clark rookie card sold for $234,850, according to Goldin.

This was the fourth Sports Cards & Collectibles Show hosted by JALC and Reid's second show he has attended.
