BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. -- A southeast Missouri man faces a murder charge after authorities find a woman dead with gunshot wounds.
The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office said on December 16, at 5:31 p.m., authorities went to a home on State Highway Y for a report of someone who was shot.
When officials got there, the sheriff’s office said they found a woman who was dead with gunshot wounds. They then said she was found in a yard near the home.
A man was detained at the scene and taken into custody. He was identified as Terry Allen of Glen Allen, Missouri.
The deceased woman was identified as Tina L. Skaggs, of Gipsy, Missouri.
Allen was taken to the Bollinger County Jail and now faces 1st degree murder and armed criminal action charges.
An autopsy for Skaggs shows the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
Allen has a counsel status hearing scheduled for January 3 at the Bollinger County Courthouse.
