BENTON, Ill. -- The Benton City Hall is temporarily closed and services are accessible at other locations in the city.
A sign on the city hall building in Benton states their building is closed, effective as of August 19. The sign also states their departments can be visited at other locations.
The city hall sign states if anyone needs services including water, city clerk, city treasurer, zoning and codes department, they may call 618-439-6131.Â
Another sign on the building was posted with where you are able to physically visit each department as well. The list is below...
- Water Department - (New Service Only). Sign up at the Benton Municipal Airport.
- Water Department - Bill Pay - Bills can be paid in person at US Bank, Legence Bank and Heartland Office Supply. You can pay online through the Paystar link on the . Bills can be mailed to P.O. Box 640, Benton, IL, 62812. Bills may be dropped off at the city hall in the drop box located at 1403 South Main on the southwest corner of the building. (Phone extensions #400/401)
