MAKANDA, Ill. -- A boil water order has been announced for those a part of the Buncombe Public Water District who live North of W. McGuire Road on Old US Highway 51.Â
The order affects those who live on Midway Road, Cross Creek Road and Potters Road.Â
Teams are working to repair a break on a main pipe in a permanent way after recent short-term repairs. Water will be paused for a short time before returning with the boil notice.Â
Officials say water that will be drank or used for cooking needs to boiled five to seven minutes before being used.Â
