.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Car crashes with side-by-side in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. -- Officials in Franklin County are on the scene of a crash between a car and a side-by-side. 

The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency sent an alert for the crash at 2:36 p.m. on Sunday. The alert listed the crash site at 148/Old North Road in Christopher. 

Franklin County officials do not believe the crash caused any immediate danger to life or property.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area until the crash site has been cleared.
