Windy week ahead

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) This morning is cold! Well, colder than we’ve seen lately anyway. However, warmer temps are on the horizon.

Monday: Layer up this morning because temps are cold to start the day. However, with the help of clear skies, warmer temperatures will be settling in as we expect temps to be in the 60s by the middle of the day. It will be a windy one too. As temperatures climb, so do the winds, as it will be coming out of the south at about 15 mph.

Tuesday: We start out with calmer winds and partly cloudy skies in the upper 40s to mid 50s. Clouds will then start moving out and temps will soar into the 70s. The winds will be the main story though as we expect it to reach into the 20s out of the south-south west.

Wednesday: Rain chances return in the evening ,but at this point, they remain low. However, the winds will be ramping up a little as you can expect winds to be around 25 mph - 30 mph at times.
