Video shows explosions at industrial plant in Fredericktown, Missouri on October 30. The Fredericktown Fire Department has a shelter in place order for nearby residents through Thursday morning.
FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. (WSIL) -- Fire crews are battling a massive fire at an industrial plant in Fredericktown on Wednesday.Â
Video at the scene shows the Critical Mineral Recovery building on fire and explosions caught on camera.
Multiple fire crews are on scene battling the large fire.
The Fredericktown Fire Department issued a shelter-in-place indoors for residents north of the Junction City/Fredericktown area. See the attached map.

There is also an evacuation order for residents on Madison County Road 277.
The fire department urges residents if they see smoke, to stay indoors.

Incident Update 815 HWY 00
We urge citizens to SHELTER IN PLACE INDOORS if you are in the smoke plume resulting from the industrial fire at 815 HWY OO. Close windows, doors, and turn off window AC systems. The ONLY evacuation order is for residents on Madison County Road 277. Again, if you see smoke stay indoors. Current modeling attached to this post, for this incident, shows smoke moving to the north of the fire. The City of Fredericktown is not currently affected by this order. Winds will continue to push smoke in this direction until Thursday morning after 5am-6am.
