ELDORADO, Ill. -- Eldorado High School announced a new Health Science and Technology Nursing College and Career Pathway on Sunday night.Â
According to the school's Facebook post, the pathway will allow students to receive recognition and further education that will prepare them for careers and degrees in nursing after high school.Â
"We're really excited to bring this awesome opportunity to our students," said Principal Cody Cusic. "This Nursing pathway will give our students the skills they need for success in college and their future careers."Â
Students at Eldorado will have the chance to participate in courses not offered in other schools. The school says the experience and endorsements will give students more opportunities after graduation.Â
Eldorado High School also offers dual credit for some of its courses. These will save time for students once they get to college.Â
"We're thrilled to award our first College and Career Pathway Endorsement to a member of the 2024 graduating class," said Rachel Anderson, EHS Guidance Counselor. "We are excited to begin the process of adding more CCPE programs."
Eldorado High says it hopes to continue to give students a well-rounded education and help in every student's goals.Â
