Four Marshall County High School shooting victims awarded more than $36 million for damages

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. -- A judgment and order through the Marshall County Circuit Court states more than $36 million in damages were awarded to four individuals after a 15-year-old opened fire at a high school in January, 2018, resulting in two students dead and more than a dozen more injured.

The judgment and award of damages was granted in favor of four plaintiffs against defendants Gabriel Parker, Mary Garrison Minyard (aka Mary Lee Minyard) and Justin Minyard.

The four plaintiffs awarded are as follows�

  • Dalton Keeling awarded a total of $8,100,000
  • Mary Bella James awarded a total of $9,000,000
  • Gage Smock awarded a total of $9,000,000
  • Estate of Bailey Holt awarded $6,663,364.20 for total damages for estate and $4,000,000 for total loss of consortium

The total awarded to all four is $36,763,364.20
