FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. -- Officials with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman who drove without a license.聽
Deputies were on patrol at the time they conducted a stop on Dorothy J. Murphy, 54, of Raleigh, IL. The stop occurred around 2:30 p.m. on IL State 34 near Miller Rd. on March 7. Officials say Murphy drove solo without passengers at the time of the stop.聽
An investigation from the department revealed Murphy did not have an active license, meaning she had broken a law by driving. Additionally, investigators say a quick search of the car upturned two bags with a substance that has since tested positive for Methamphetamine.聽
Officials took Murphy to the Franklin County Jail and received the following charges:
- Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (100-400 grams/Class X Felony)
- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (100-400 grams/Class X Felony)
- Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine (100-400 grams/Class X Felony)
