O鈥橣ALLON, Ill. (WSIL) 鈥� The Harrisburg Bulldogs were crowned bowling state champions on Saturday.
The Harrisburg team won the IHSA Boys Bowling Championship, knocking down a total of 13,777 pins and an average of 219.6 per game, IHSA stated.
The last round of the tournament was held on February 1. They beat Machesney Park (Harlem and Breese (Central) to take home the trophy.
Harrisburg鈥檚 James Cranmore led the way, knocking down 2,722 pins, with Dalton Wheeler right behind him with 2,717.
The state finals were held at the O鈥橣allon Township High School. Dozens of teams took part in the tournament.
