HARRISBURG, Ill. -- Police arrested three suspects on Wednesday who the department believes are connected to a series of burglaries that occurred in early August at First Baptist Church.Â
According to information released by the Harrisburg Police Department, the burglaries happened on August 4 and 10. Members of First Baptist say over $15,000 worth of outdoor power equipment was taken from the chapel's Disaster Relieve storage facility.Â
Police say the church told them more specific information about the thefts on Wednesday that allowed the department to identify a possible residence where the equipment was stored. Officers conducted a search of the home and said they found items from each of the burglaries.Â
Deputies arrested three suspects tied to the search. James D. Long, 43, of Harrisburg, Michael R. Harford, 38, of Eldorado, and Melissa G. Noble, 39, of Harrisburg, were all brought to the Saline County Detention Center. The police department said the three face charges of Burglary and Theft over $10,000.Â
Police remind the community that the three suspects remain innocent until proven guilty.Â
The investigation remains ongoing. Police say more charges are expected to come.Â
