.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River for the next
week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Massac County sees continuing car break-ins

MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. -- Deputies with the Massac County Sheriff's Office have asked the community for help locating car theft suspects. 

The sheriff's office says a number of car break-ins have occurred near Deer Run Road and Wesley Drive.

The break-ins have resulted in a loss of property several times. Electronics were one of the main objects taken. 

While the investigation remains ongoing, residents should take precautions to protect their vehicles. Keep high-value items hidden, the doors locked and the car parked in a well-lit area.
