MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office arrested a prior felon on Wednesday after locating a gun in his car.Â
Deputies stopped Jeremiah R. Lampkin, 46, of West Paducah, in his car on Wednesday near Jason Circle and Old US Hwy 60. Officials reported finding the gun in Lampkin's car, an item he could not have due to prior drug-related and other charges. Lampkin was also on probation at the time of this stop. Â
Officials went on to search Lampkin's home. They said Lampkin possessed a second gun, Meth and drug paraphernalia.Â
Deputies sent Lampkin to the McCracken County Regional Jail on the following charges:Â
- No Registration Plates
- No Registration Receipt
- Failure to Maintain Required Insurance, 1st OffenseÂ
- Improper Equipment
- Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon (x2)
- Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree -- 3rd of Greater Offense (Meth)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
