* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

McCracken County man hospitalized after car flips

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- Officials brought a man to a hospital after his car crashed on Thursday.聽

Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash in the 6700 block of Lovelaceville Road at 19 minutes past noon.聽

Investigators on the scene spoke to the victim, Shane Freiberg, 19, of Smithland, about the details surrounding the crash. Freiberg said he was driving a 1995 GMC Yukon west along Lovelaceville before the wreck. He admits he tried to pass another vehicle but ran off the road.聽

Deputies say Freiberg tried to stay on the road but overcorrected. This motion caused the GMC to flip.聽

Mercy Regional EMS arrived on the site to bring Freiberg to medical help in the area.聽

The Lone Oak Fire Department and Harpers Towing also helped with the situation.聽
