MT. VERNON, Ill. -- One of Tennessee's Most Wanted was arrested in Mt. Vernon on Friday.

Terrance Boyd, 43, was on the run from Nashville Police after a warrant was issued for him on Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure. Nashville Police informed Mt. Vernon Police on Friday they believed the suspect was in Mt. Vernon.

A Mt. Vernon officer stopped a car around 3:10 p.m. that matched the information Nashville Police gave them about Boyd. The stop occurred around 18th and Lamar. The driver of the car was identified as Boyd, despite the man initially providing a false name.

Boyd received a new charge of Obstructing Identification and was sent to the Jefferson County Justice Center for this and the Nashville warrant. He will be sent to Tennessee soon.

Boyd currently awaits a court date for his crimes.
