One dead, one in hospital after Perry County crash

FATAL CAR CRASH

PERRY COUNTY, Mo. -- A crash in Perry County Saturday night resulted in one death and one in the hospital. 

Jesse W. Robinson, 20, of Perryville passed away after riding in a car that ran off the road. The driver, 20-year-old Evan L. Mezo, experienced only minor injuries that sent him to the hospital. 

The accident occured NE of Perry County Road 819. Police have said the men's vehicle drove off the left side of the highway where it hit a fence and overturned.

Police have noted that Robinson did not have a safety device in place while Mezo did.Â
