Poplar Bluff officials experience phone line outage

‘I couldn’t work the whole day’: AT&T outage frustrates customers on the go

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- City phone lines are down in Poplar Bluff. 

The city's police department took to  to let the community know of the ongoing issue. The post said that all administrative phone lines in the city are experiencing the technical difficulties. 

Police believe the issue tracks to an issue with the VOIP carrier. They say the problem is intermittent. 

911 lines are still operational for emergencies. For non-emergency issues that require urgent assistance, the police ask residents to call 573 718-0235.

The department says it will post an update when phone lines return to normal.
