Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

Poshard Foundation celebrates 25th anniversary

CARTERVILLE, Ill. -- The Poshard Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday at John A. Logan College. 

At the event, Glenn and Jo Poshard thanked all who have contributed to mission through the years. They revealed that their mission has raised $10 million for children in ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois over its run so far. 

The foundation works to help abused and neglected children around the ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois area. The Poshards thanked the community for its ongoing support throughout the years ahead of Saturday's anniversary. 

The celebration is set for September 7.

"For 25 years, you have partnered with us to help care for thousands of vulnerable children throughout ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois," the Poshards wrote. "Whether you are a union helping us building shelters, a business sponsoring a workshop, a foundation contributing to our mission or an individual donor wanting to help these children... we thank you on behalf of the thousands of children your love and generosity have helped heal from wounds that might have lasted a lifetime." 

The Poshard works in partnership with John A. Logan and volunteers to complete its mission of support.
