CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A beautiful end to the weekend with more sunshine and less wind than the day before!
Sunday evening: Temperature highs into the mid and upper 60's will begin to dip back down into the mid and upper 40's, making for a calm and cool evening. Light wind from the east 5-10mph.Â

Monday: Morning lows into the mid and upper 40's will rise into the mid and upper 70's. Winds from the S 5-10mph with clouds increasing through the early morning hours. Another calm evening to look forward to with no real impact for those looking to get in their last finishing touches to their spooky outdoor decorations.Â

Tuesday: Morning lows into the upper 50's and lower 60's will rise very slowly into the lower to mid 70's. Mostly cloudy with some peaks of sun here and there. A few isolated showers may sneak into the region, primarily southeast Missouri and southern Illinois. Winds from the S 10-15mph with gusts above 25mph at times. A fairly windy day ahead for outdoor plans. The mix of an overcast sky with cooler temperatures and winds will make for an even more brisk day ahead. Â

Looking for rain chances? It appears we continue to stay on the track of every Wednesday-Friday there's a chance of rain in the forecast. At this point in time, the best chance for isolated to scattered showers and even storms will be Thursday, Friday and even into the weekend. That is still far away in terms of forecasting. We will continue to update the forecast as the chances become more clear on the outlook. As for temperatures, they look to stay above our average (upper 60's) by staying into the 70's and even possibly the lower 80's through the mid week next week.Â
