MT. VERNON, Ill. -- The SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital launched a support group for those experiencing grief that meets on Tuesdays.
"The grief support group is for anyone in the community who has experienced loss, regardless of whether your loved one was a patient at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital or not," said the hospital in a press release.Â
The group meets Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The group will suspend meetings during the busier months of June to August. Those interested in the group can attend at any time at the Mother Odilia Classroom in the Medical Plaza, which sits at 2 Good Samaritan Way in Mt. Vernon. Meetings occur on the garden level.Â
The hospital hopes the group offers those struggling with grief a shoulder to lean on. People going through similar experiences will come together to get through the hardest period of grief.
More information about the group is available via SSM Health Pastoral Care at 618-899-1449 or via email at [email protected].
